Every week we're able to create a diverse array of stories, from corporate communications to network television programs, because our people are vastly experienced. Our Managing Director, Ray Black, has been creating quality programs since the days of black and white TV, when he was a pioneering user of digital editing equipment with computers that needed their own room and dedicated air conditioning plant.

The computers are smaller, faster, better and mega-smarter now. But as with cameras, sound recording gear and every other piece of mind-bogglingly sophisticated equipment, they are just tools. Like paintbrushes, it's the way these tools are used, in the hands of skilled and creative people, that makes all the difference. Anyone can click a mouse. But not everyone can paint with one.

If you like techno-stuff you'll be happy to know that we were the first team in the southern hemisphere to acquire a Quantel GenePool – an amazing workflow enhancement tool that massively increases the productivity of our edit suites. (The second Quantel GenePool in the southern hemisphere is the one used by director Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings fame).
